Redesign Process

redesign process

The redesign process involves two main parts: the usability evaluation and visual design. You may proceed through as much of the process as you feel is necessary for your site or business needs.

Step 1: Usability Evaluation & Recommendations

After clearly laying out your goals and the main purpose of the website, I will conduct a usability evaluation of your current site. This includes ease of navigation, mobile readiness, quality of information, visual hierarchy, and offering recommendations on changes that may need to be made to the site.

Step 2: Wireframe Redesign

We discuss your recommendations and figure out the direction you want to take your site. Changes are then visually realized, sketched out as wireframes and presented to you for consideration.

Step 3: High Fidelity Mockup

Once the final layout has been nailed down, we will move into applying your branding, copy, and images to the wireframes, creating full color, ready to code mockups.

Step 4: Development

Depending on the complexity of the project, I may code and build the final site for you. Most informational sites, responsive, and mobile sites I can build. Any features or elements that require a more skilled programmer may be contracted out.

What's Next?

Once your site is live we can move on to planning and implementing Search Engine Optimization (SEO) settings with sites like Google AdWords, Facebook Ads, and setting up other relevant social media accounts. I can also provide training on using the backend of your site if it is built on a Content Management System like WordPress.

Let's get building!
